North Korean TV aired Friday footage of its young leader Kim Jong Un getting angry with military commanders in a Nov. 25, 2011, visit to the North Korean People’s Army’s 233 Large Combined Unit, also known as the command of the 4th Corps. In the footage, Kim wields his right arm with a frowned face, suggesting that he was complaining about something. This was the first time for North Korean media to show their new leader angry. He had been mainly shown hugging civilians and soldiers with a big smile on his face.

The footage is apparently intended to bolster his charisma as a strict leader among North Koreans since he has to stand on his own without his late father. Analysts say the footage of a frowning Kim at a military unit that shelled a frontline South Korean island in late 2010 hints at Pyongyang`s hard-line policy toward Seoul.
