Dancer Seok Ye-bin, who has come in the limelight for featuring the opening performance of the “Spring is Coming” concert in Pyongyang last year, will perform Korean traditional dance at a Brazilian Carnival to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement.
The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil said that it will hold “Arirang-Carnival” in Sao Paulo’s Bom Retiro district, where there is a Korean town, on March 1. The Carnival will be held across the country, including Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo from March 1 to 6.
Seok Ye-bin’s performances at the Carnival will include traditional fan dance based on the dance of Choi Seung-hee, Ogomu dance collaborating “Idol” by BTS, and “Floral Leaf of Yoo Gwan-sun,” a dance dedicated to the patriot.
