Google named as world’s most innovative IT company: Samsung ranked as 5th

Global business insiders named Google as the world’s most innovative IT firm. Samsung electronics, ranked as the 5th, became the only non-American company listed in the top 10.

Market research firm Tech Pro Research released ‘IT Innovation Report 2015’ containing survey results on innovation of tech firms on June 2. Tech Pro Research has conducted the survey with 363 corporate personnel who deal with IT businesses in various industries around the world by asking innovation level and innovation awareness of tech firms.

According to the survey result, 84% of the respondents (multiple responses allowed) picked Google as the world’s most innovative IT company, followed by Apple (78%), Amazon (67%) and MS (58%). Samsung electronics chosen by 47% of the survey participants was listed as the 5th. Other tech firms that made top 10 list include Cisco Systems(42%), IBM (37%), VMware (33%), Adobe (32%) and Salesforce (27%). Samsung is the only non-American company which made the top 10 list.

Technology adoption (61%), new product development (59%), working method improvement (58%) and a leader armed with a vision (56%) were cited as factors accelerating innovation. When askied about roadblocks to innovation, respondents named a leader without a vision (52%), internal bureaucracy (45%) and outdated technology (41%).
