Woody Allen, the debauched genius artist

Posted February. 04, 2014 07:13,

When Woody Allen, 80, was honored at the 2014 Golden Globes last month, Dylan Farrow, the genius artist’s adoptive daughter, 28, curled up on her bed and cried. He recounted the nightmare of being molested by her adoptive father at age seven. Dylan, who now lives under a different name, still suffers from a severe post traumatic disorder. Dylan is an adoptive daughter of Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, a famous actress.

Allen and Mia Farrow lived as a couple for 12 years. But Allen fell in love with Soon Yi Previn, a Korean American who was adopted by Mia and her ex-husband Andre Farrow, a composer, and has been married to her since 1997. It is extraordinary that he married to a woman who is 36 years younger than he. How should we understand him who says his adoptive daughter is the “best love ever during his lifetime.”

Mia who lost her boyfriend and her daughter at the same time felt betrayed and vengeful so that she disclosed his private life dirty laundry to the public. She submitted Dylan’s testimony tape to the court saying that Allen molested her seven-year old adoptive child, but the judge acquitted him for the lack of evidence. Dylan, the victim of the case which had been forgotten for more than 20 years, sent a long open letter to the New York Times recently. She finally opened her tightly sealed lips after she heard of the award being given to Allen.

“When I was seven years old, Woody Allen took me by the hand and led me into a dim, closet-like attic on the second floor of our house. He told me to lay on my stomach and play with my brother’s electric train set. Then he sexually assaulted me… These things happened so often, so routinely, so skillfully hidden from a mother,” Dylan wrote. “Imagine she spends a lifetime stricken with nausea at the mention of his name. Imagine a world that celebrates her tormentor.” Ronan Farrow, the only son born to Allen and Mia Farrow, said, “He is my father and got married to my sister (Soon Yi). I’m his son and his brother-in-law!” Allen said her claims are untrue via his representative. Had he not been awarded this time, the world would not have focused on his debauched life. He might try to excuse, saying, “Should I had lived a normal life, there wouldn’t have been genius films.”
