Unearthing War Dead

Soldiers from a South Korean Defense Ministry task force for excavating the remains of war dead Wednesday search at Fortress 735 near the Demilitarized Zone in the township of Geunnam-myeon in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. The fortress was the site of a fierce battle between South Korean and Chinese troops from June to September 1951.
