Memory of Eisenhower

Dwight D. Eisenhower (left), who on June 19, 1960, became the first sitting American president to visit Korea, looks closely at a photo of Korean martyr Kim Ju-yeol’s body covered with the Korean national flag. The photo was printed on page 28 of The Dong-A Ilbo’s photo collection "Memoirs of Democratic Revolution" (photo on the right) aboard Air Force One bound for Seoul from Okinawa, Japan.
