Regarding the matter of non-regular jobs, chairmen of the five major economic associations will hold an impromptu meeting on April 22.

On April 21, according to the Korea Employers Federation, five persons, Park Yong-sung, chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lee Su-young, chairman of the Korea Employers Association, Kim Jae-chul, chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, Kim Yong-gu, chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, and Cho Geon-ho, established vice chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, are scheduled to meet at the Lotte Hotel, Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul and to announce economic circle’s opinion on the matter of non-regular jobs on April 22.

It was reported that they expressed strong concerns since the case, in which the National Human Rights Commission of Korea announced a favorable opinion towards labor circles regarding a bill on non-regular jobs, will retrograde in terms of global trends focusing on the flexibility of the labor market, and cause aggravated rates of employment creation due to weak corporate competitiveness.
