The Incheon Metropolitan City Dance Theater announced Sunday it would carry out arts performance to promote public cultural exchange in Chile and Ecuador. The South Korean dance troupe was selected as a national arts organization to be sent abroad by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Incheon Dance Theater is to perform on the occasion of the 2019 APEC summit held in Santiago, Chile on June 28. Following this, it will provide a traditional choreography workshop to Chilean students at the Sejong Hakdang branch in Santiago - an educational organization that is built overseas to ensure cultural exchange through Korean language education. In celebration of the 210th anniversary of the independence of Ecuador, their invitation performances are to be held on July 2 and 3.

The Dance Theater entertains the audience with Taepyeongmu Korean fan dance, Jindo Drum Dance, and Salpuri Dancing under the theme of ‘”Dance, Sceneries.” Artistic Director Yoon Sung-joo said that he would create an opportunity for the Incheon Dance Theater to make inroads into overseas markets by fully realizing the beauty of Korean traditional dance.
