The chilly weather is expected heading into the weekend with temperatures forecast to drop by two to three degrees following the rain. The Korea Meteorological Administration said that due to being on the edge of high pressure on Saturday, the nation will see cloudy skies while rain is expected in the central region, North Jeolla Province and North Gyeongsang Province. Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and South Chungcheong Province will see 10 to 40 millimeters of showers while other regions will receive 5 to 30 millimeters. The rain is forecast to stop during in the morning.

The nationwide rain from Friday to Saturday morning, along with the cold air moved from the Northwestern region, will bring the temperatures down, and strong winds will make it feel colder than actual temperatures.

Morning lows are expected to drop further on Sunday, with Seoul beginning the day at 5 degrees Celsius and Busan at 9 degrees Celsius. The weather is forecast to remain cold for the next week, with the capital area expected to start the day at 3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Meanwhile, due to smooth atmospheric diffusion, the nation’s fine dust level will remain within the “good” category.
