A dressing demonstration is going to be held for the restored official uniforms of the ancient royal families in Korea. Seokjuseon Memorial Museum of Dankook University is holding an event of "Royal Attire Dressing Demonstration" on Friday in remembrance of the 20th anniversary of Dr. Seok Ju-seon's passing. This marks the first event to put on a dressing demonstration on royal attire, which has been restored based on kings' portraits.

Since 2006, Park Seong-sil, a former professor at Dankook University (studies of traditional clothes), has restored a total 100 pieces of clothes worn by the kings including Taejo, Yeongjo, Ikjong, Cheoljong, and Gojong. For instance, Taejo wore at least 12 different layers of uniforms for work. He wore the traditional innerwear called Dapho and Cheolic, in addition to a winged cap called Ilseokgwan, a robe called Ojoryongpo, socks and a pair of black cotton shores. For underwear, the king put on Korean traditional inner jacket, pants, sleeves, and three different types of pants called Gaedangg and Hapdanggo.

The demonstration event will feature five kings from Taejo to Gojong, showing the audience the entire process of properly dressing the royal attire in the right order. It will be followed by the dressing demonstration of eunuchs and female palace servants.
