Incheon International Airport has topped the annual Airport Service Quality surveys conducted by the Airports Council International for 11 consecutive years. The Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on Monday that the airport has once again named the world’s best airport in the survey of 500,000 worldwide airport users on 34 items including service and operation, conducted last year.

Incheon International Airport has also ranked the first places in the "Best Airport by Size: Over 40 Million Passengers" and the “Best Airport in Asia-Pacific“ awards, both together with Singapore’s Changi Airport. This result represents the increasing competition among Asia Pacific airports to provide better services. "The Incheon airport will make constant efforts to keep the glory, especially by improving the old facilities and operational systems of the Terminal 1, and completing the construction of the second terminal by 2017," said Chung Il-young, CEO of the Incheon International Airport Corp.

Currently, as many as 88 airliners fly to and from the airport, connecting 185 cities across the globe. The number of total passengers exceeded 49 million last year, and 2.6 million tons of freight passed through the airport.
