A Korean-American pastor was shot to death by his mentally ill wife in Atlanta, Georgia.

Gwinnett County police said Tuesday that they arrested a 63-year-old Korean-American woman in northeastern Atlanta on charges of killing her husband 64, with a gun.

Police said they found him dead with a gunshot wound to the head at his home and arrested his wife on charges of murder and possession of an illegal weapon.

The woman reportedly told police that she had had frequent arguments with her husband due to troubles in the pastoral business and shot him to death out of anger. He had reportedly been a pastor since 2001, when he founded the Faith Bible School and a church for Korean-American theological students in Atlanta. Both the school and the church were reportedly closed several years ago.

A nearby real estate agency said the pastor put his residence up for sale at a knockdown price because he was on the verge of losing it to foreclosure due to failure to repay bank debts.

The murder was the third gun-related incident of homicide this year for the ethnic Korean community of Atlanta.
