Korean Man in LA Kills Restaurant Owner and Himself

A Korean man shot to death an owner of a popular Korean restaurant in a Korean neighborhood in Los Angeles before killing himself.

According to Los Angeles Police Department, Na (47) entered the restaurant located in the Korean town of the city around 5 p.m. (local time) on May 22, argued with the owner Lim shortly afterwards, and killed Lim by firing several shots at him from a semiautomatic handgun.

Some one hundred of police showed up after the authorities took an initial report about a gun robbery, arrived at the crime scene, and entered into the restaurant.

The police officially announced later that day that they had confirmed Na committed suicide.

Residents around the restaurant said that the incident might involve a wife’s affair because Na had been suspicious about his wife who works in the restaurant.

However, some argue that the crime was inspired by money matters.

Several tourists from Korea were eating at the crime scene but there were no victims among them because they quickly ran out right after they saw Na with the gun.
