Made public after 451 years.
The chief priest of St. Pauls Cathedral in Rome, Italy, Cardinal Andrea Cordero Lanza di Montezemolo, is showing St. Pauls sarcophagus placed in the cathedrals basement burial grounds. The underground burial grounds were closed in 1545, and it has been 450 years since they were last opened to the public. Whether or not this sarcophagus contains St. Pauls ashes is not proven. St. Pauls skull is placed in St. John Lateran Cathedral.
