Asan Great General Yi Sun-shin Festival

The 45th Asan Great General Yi Sun-shin Festival commenced on April 27. At the Gokgyo Stream bank near Hyeonchungsa, Asan, South Chungcheong Province, traditional horseback riders and polo association members are displaying the skill of horseback riding while shooting arrows (Gisa), a form of horseback riding dating from the Joseon era. The festival, commemorating the birth of Chungmugong (April 28), will continue until May 1.
