Science magazine ` New Scientist` reported in its latest issue that “TV makes men hunkier and women chunkier”, according to Professor Bernard Harper of England’s University of Liverpool.

Harper’s team investigated differences between 2D images such as TV pictures and 3D images produced using stereoscopic cameras, and as results, women looked 5 Per Cent fatter on TV screen.

Both men and women had thicker necks on TV, and especially, women’s ratio between waist and hip became prominent. Men seemed stronger, including their lower jaws looking better defined. Experts warned that female celebrities get into excessive diets in order to look slim on TV, and this brings bad effects on viewers.

“When the broadband Internet system that transmits 3D images is used, we may see the images that are similar to reality,” expected Harper.
