A musical inspired by the life and music of Michael Jackson (1959-2009) will premier in Chicago this year. It will be titled “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” after his 1979 hit single.

“Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” will play Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre beginning Oct. 29 and running through Dec. 1,” The Chicago Tribune reported on Wednesday (local time). “The show is expected in New York in the spring of 2020.”

The stage musical will be co-developed by the Michael Jackson estate and Columbia Live Stage, and Tony-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon will direct the musical featuring a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage.

The background of the musical is from 1992 to 1993, when Michael Jackson was on his “Dangerous World Tour” to raise fund for the “Heal the World Foundation,” a charitable organization founded by him.
