Barbaric IS beheaded yet another 21 Coptic Christians

War clouds are gathering as Egypt attacked a strongpoint of Sunni Islamist militant group Islamic State (IS) in Libya. This was an immediate revenge attack against the IS who cruelly beheaded 21 Egyptians. “At the dawn of the day, Egyptian air force bombed the IS targets inside Libya,” aired a state-run Egyptian TV network on Monday (local time). The attack mainly focused on training sites and weapons storage areas of the IS that are located on the border between Egypt and Libya.

The strike came a day after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said that Cairo has every right to punish the murderers and we would choose the necessary means and timing to avenge the criminal killings. Having released the cruel video of burning a Jordan pilot and beheading a Japanese, the IS disclosed yet another horrible video clip on Sunday that the militant group beheaded 21 Egyptian men, sending tremendous shockwaves throughout the world.

In the video titled “A message signed with blood to the nation of the cross”, unidentified militants in black mask hauled a group of men in orange-colored prisoner uniform to the seashore near Tripoli in Libya and made them kneel down. Soon after, the bloodstained seawater appears with the message that says all men are beheaded. The militants identified themselves as “IS in Tripoli” and purported that the execution is a “revenge on the Coptic Church (the largest Christian church in Egypt) who suppressed Muslim women.” Foreign media reported that “This is the first time the IS who has usually killed western journalists or rescue activists executed heathens. It seems that the IS initiated to provoke a religious conflict.”

It is said that the U.S. on Friday flew Apache helicopter in response to IS attack on the air base in western Iraq on which it is analyzed that the countdown for deployment of ground forces has just begun. “The IS is no longer at the level of terrorist group. We should cope with the IS considering it a military organization of terrorists” said Michael McCall, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
