Seoul Central District Court summoned Wednesday Korean-American Shin Eun-mi who allegedly made comments sympathetic to North Korea at talk shows to investigate her on its authenticity, how she went to the North and how she prepared the travel costs.

Prosecutors are examining strongly in favor of ordering her deportation by having her indictment suspended within this week. Her ban from leaving the country expires on Saturday. Based on Article 46 Clause 1 of the Immigration Control Law, which says, "People who are considered to damage interest of the Republic of Korea or safety of the public are eligible for compulsory eviction," prosecutors will recommend her forced deportation to the Justice Ministry.

"I just traveled North Korea. I have never praised the third-generation succession of North Korea," Shin told reporters when appearing before the prosecution. "All my relationships broke off. As departure ban extended, my U.S. life and my husband`s business collapsed."
