War of freight transportation begins

A war of freight transportation has begun in the retail and distribution industry ahead of "Seollal (Lunar New Year’s Day)," one of the two biggest holidays in Korea that falls on Feb. 10 this year. Staff at a logistics center of Lotte Mart in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, scramble to deliver across the nation Tuesday 270,000 boxes of freight, 48 percent more than normal, to surging demand for gift delivery.
