Civilian divers do work aboard a rubber boat Monday to salvage the stern of the sunken naval patrol ship Cheonan in waters off Korea’s westernmost island of Baengnyeong in the Yellow Sea. Seen behind is a large marine crane (left) capable of lifting 2,200 tons and a barge on which to place the stern.
