Gwangju Biennale Opens

The seventh Gwangju Biennale, Korea`s largest art event, opened yesterday at Biennale Hall in the southern city of Gwangju. Under the theme "Annual Report: A Year in Exhibitions," the event will showcase artworks attracting the most attention in the art world. Artistic director Okwui Enwezor speaks to the audience in the opening ceremony. The event runs through Nov. 9.
