No Double Gold Winner

Korea has not produced a multi-gold medal winner in the Beijing Summer Olympics. The country had at least one two-medal winner since the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Swimmer Park Tae-hwan (1) won the gold in the men`s 400-meter freestyle but settled for the silver in the 200 meters. Shooter Jin Jong-oh (2) claimed the 50-meter air pistol but finished second in the 10 meters. Male archer Park Kyung-mo (3) and female counterpart Park Sung-hyun (4) settled for the silver in the individual competition despite their teams winning the golds. Lee Hyo-jung (5) won the silver in women’s badminton doubles before taking gold in mixed doubles.
