The Japanese government began making propaganda radio broadcasts beamed at North Korea on July 9. The broadcasts are intended to reach out to Japanese abductees living in the communist country.
The short-wave radio program titled Winds from Hometowns will focus on conveying messages from the victims families and the Japanese governments stance that says, We never tolerate abductions, the Japanese media reported.
The 30-minute broadcast in both Korean and Japanese will be repeated daily for a week before being updated.
