Efforts to introduce a National Lawsuit System failed at a Presidential Committee on Judicial Reform meeting. The system would have enabled people to watch budget execution by public institutions and redeem wasted budget by filing lawsuits.
The PCJR announced it held a ministerial meeting on Monday to discuss introducing five new systems including the National Lawsuit System, but decided to propose it to the government instead of legislating it.
A member of the committee said, Members agreed there would be long-term benefits of introducing the system, but decided to adopt a policy report which stressed the need to consider legislation of the system. This is because we need to further examine it and receive various opinions before legislating it.
