Missile Launch Successful

The A-50, currently being developed as the first Korean-made light attack aircraft, is launching an AIM-9L air-to-air missile at a target drone flying a mile and a half high above the West Sea. A-50 is an attack aircraft model converted from the T-50, a domestic supersonic trainer, and its air-to-air capability was confirmed with the day’s successful test-launch. A-50 is 13.13 meters long, 9.45 meters in width, and weighs a maximum 12.3 tons at takeoff.
