Anti-War, Anti-Nuclear Rally in New York

Last Sunday, Manhattan, New York City was brimming with people when as many as 40,000 took to the streets calling for the end of the Iraq war and the elimination of nuclear weapons. The rally targeted the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) meeting which started yesterday. They harshly criticized nuclear states, saying, “Nuclear states are slapping down countries who are trying to develop nuclear weapons, but don’t feel shame over their negligence and lack of effort over eliminating their own nuclear weapons.”
