Excavating Remains of Korean War Victims

The Marines Corps revealed on April 4 that 28 bodies and seven pieces of garments, as well as 60 cartridges, have been excavated in their search for the remains of Korean War victims since March 14 in the neighboring areas of North Heunghaeup, Pohang, Gyeongbok Province. The excavation operation with 70 Marine Corps officers, 18 professional excavation agents from the Army headquarters, and four somatology researchers from Chungbuk National University, amongst others participating, will continue until April 9.
