Sex Entertainment Parties by Business Groups Look to Go Abroad

It is reported that the sex entertainment party industry of the business community is now more active in seeking foreign places for venues such as Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao in China, and the Philippines since the Special Law on Sex Trade went into effect on September 23. Adult sex travel for prostitution has existed within a small wealthy group of people, but was mostly done on a private level.

“In terms of entertaining future business contractors or partners, booking golf courses has become tough, and serving them at a room-salon is not a pleasant choice anymore since the special law on sex trade went into effect. So holding an entertainment party abroad is gaining popularity,” said one employee named “Park,” who works at one of the backbone domestic companies. He also added, “It costs less abroad than domestically. And, as you stay longer hours together such as two nights and three days, there is a high possibility to induce the desired result out of the entertainment.”

In light of the current domestic situation, Chinese travel agencies are busy coming up with new ideas in preparation for such entertainment parties for business groups, and they are bombarding domestic companies with emails suggesting adult sex travels.

They are providing a “one-stop” service, which includes everything from flight booking, golf course booking, room salon service, to writing receipts for companies.

A Korean-Chinese named “Choi” (38 years of age), who has been working as a tour guide in Qingdao for years said, “October is not a prime time for us here; meanwhile, Korean tourists keep rushing in,” and added, “You need to make a reservation at least 10 days ahead to book a hotel or a golf course.”

Choi continued, “Recently, tours organized by companies have increased. We can write a receipt with the exact amount of money on it, the way they want.”

Domestic travel agencies are also trying to develop new products targeting weekend travel to southeast Asia such as a package to the Philippines: “Take off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and return at 6:00 a.m. on Monday.” Officially, they never mention anything about sex travel; however, it is reported that they are mediating it to their clients under close collaboration with local travel agencies.

An employee at an agency themed on traveling to southeast Asia said, “After this past late September, we’ve gotten four or five calls every day inquiring about available regions for sex travel,” and added, “We are developing charming travel packages that will satisfy the increasing demands.”
