Daegwalryeong Frost Flowers

A child in a winter coat is curiously looking at white frost covering vegetable plants in Daegwalryeong, Gangwon Province, where the lowest temperature recorded was -1.5 °C on the morning of October 3. Due to sudden low temperatures, frost hit in Cheolwon on October 2, 16 days earlier than in normal years, and the first ice was observed in Daegwalryeong and Taeback on October 3, three to eight days earlier. The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts that the nation will return to average yearly temperatures starting October 4.
