100,000 Israelis Form “No to Withdrawal of Israel from Gaza” Human Chain

Over 100,000 Israelis made a 90 kilometer-long human chain from the Gaza Strip to Jerusalem as a protest against Prime Minister Ariel Sharon`s plan to withdraw Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Sharon announced in April: “The government will dismantle Jewish settlements and withdraw Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, but it will maintain the settlements on the West Bank of the Jordan River.”
