Impeachment Sentence to be Decided Around May 13

The final decision on impeachment against President Roh Moo-hyun will be reached around May 13.

Chief Judge Joo Sun-hoi stated on May 10, “The discussion is almost over. We will do our best to decide as soon as possible, by at least around the middle of May.”

The Constitutional Court is fine-tuning specific issues and modifying the draft of its decision. It is also discussing the manner of judgment and whether or not the sentencing should be televised.

The court held a conference on May 10, and will meet again on May 11 to finish final fine-tuning.
