The floor leaders of the four parties have decided on February 11 to carry the bill regarding troop dispatch to Iraq on February 13, and the ratification bill of the Korea-Chile FTA on February 16.

GNP floor leader Hong Sa-duk, MDP floor leader Yoo Yong-tae, Uri Party floor leader Kim Geun-tae, and United Liberal Democrats floor leader Kim Hak-won have all agreed on the aforementioned details during a telephone conference.

The floor leaders have also agreed to extend the active prescription of the Assembly’s Special Committee on Political Reform to devise a new electoral district by demarcation as part of an electoral law amendment which aims at including the proper number of representatives, such as the number of representatives in the regional district as well as the proportional representatives, and the minimum and the maximum number of the population in the districts. They will pass the bill in the plenary meeting on February 13. “The ratification bill of the Korea-Chile FTA will be carried on February 16 because we need time to persuade other the representatives,” said GNP floor leader Hong.
