Korean players are doing it again and Pak Se Ri is on the forefront. Pak played 13 holes in 8 under to take a lead in the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic held at Highland Meadow GC, Sylvania, Ohio on August 17.
Pak fired eight birdies without a single bogey through 13 holes before play was suspended because of storms during the third round.
With five-par 17th and 18th holes left, it even seems possible for Pak to break the course record of 10 under and 61 shots, and top the 59 shots record set by Annika Sorenstam.
Han Hee Won was 4-under through 13 and 11-under for the week, ranking 3rd. Lee Jung Yeon was 6-under for the day through 16, ranking 4th.
Diaz, who was a leader at 10-under after two days, finished the day 2-under through 13 holes. Pak, winner of three of the last five Farr Classics, made approach shots that left her with easy birdie putts. She also made an 18-foot birdie putt on No. 12.
Han Hee-Won had hard times with driver shots, but was good at iron shots and short games without a bogey. Lee Jung-Yeon, having finished the second round at 11th, also played well on the day and advanced to 4th.
The third round was completed in the early morning on Aug. 17, and players went out for the final round at 10.00 a.m.
