Dance of ‘5 Persons & 5 Colors’

Yook Won-soon(69) showed the dance of 『Jesus Christ Super Star』, when she was a professor of the Department of Dance, Ewha Womans University in April, 1973.

After that, 『Jesus Christ Super Star』has collected approx. 550,000 audiences so far, and became one of the most popular dance Repertories. This work has been presented in the Korean Culture and Arts Foundation (KCAF) until December 22 for the 30th anniversary.

One of the biggest characteristics of the performance is 5 persons and 5 colors with their own individuality of young dancers (Kim Won, An Eun-mi, Lee Yun-gyeong and Kim Seong-han) under the control of Yook Won-soon. On the last performance day, the original version of the performance will be presented.

A highlight of the performance is a solo dance of Maria Magdalena who loves Jesus Christ with a sad music of ‘I don’t know how to love him’.

The role of Maria Magdalena created a star dancer as the performance has been presented for 30 years. Park Myeong-suk is one of representative dancer who played the role of Maria Magdalena for 20 years

In this performance, Lee Yun-gyeong, Jang Eun-jeong and Choi Hye-jeong play the role of Maria Magdalena in turn. Choi Du-hyeok and Yu Seok-hun play the role of Jesus Christ, but Yu Seok-hun plays the role of Judas in turn in other performance. For the role of Judas, Yu Seok-hun, An Young-jun and Ye Hyo-seung were cast.

The performance is presented at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on December 21. at 3p.m.& 6p.m. on December 22. The ticket price is varied from 20,000 won, 30,000 won to 40,000 won. Contact to 02-738-3931 for more information
