Presidential Election D-50, Three Major Candidates “Confident of Victory”

Lee Hoi-chang of the GNP, Rho Moo-hyun of the MDP and Chung Mong-joon of National Unity 21 (in order from left) showed their resolution and confidence in victory in their D-50 messages sent to the Donga Ilbo. In particular, Mr. Lee said his catch phrase, “Real Country,” Mr. Rho Moo-hyun, “Era for People’s Holding the Supreme Power,” and Mr. Chung “Political Reform” to gain public support.
