Increase on IT export has been continued for 6 months since March.
The ministry of information and communication announced on September 23 that IT exports were US$ 3,930 million for one month of August, increased by 37.5% over the same month of the last year and by 5.8% over July.
IT imports were US$ 2,650 million, increased by 23.7% over the same month of last month and by 2.8% over the previous month. IT trade balance of August was the black ink of US$ 1,280 million. Until August, IT export was US$28.8 billion increased by 13.4% over the same period of last year. The total amount of IT trade balance showed the profits of US$ 9,680 million.
The accumulated export results by IT items were US$7740 million owing to the favorable export of communication equipments by the end of August, and the export results of the information equipments such as LCD, Monitor and Notebook PC were US$ 6,190 million.
Besides, showing IT business health index, BSI in August was 93 and indicated the favorable turn over 81 in July.
Cheon Chang-Pil, an assistant manager of policy department, the ministry of information and communication forecasted IT business BSI Index of September and October is 120 and 124 respectively. So, IT business will be improved.
