IT, a Great Contribution to Exports

The export of semiconductor and steel products has largely decreased, while the export of LCD monitor, mobile phone and medium vehicles has rapidly increased.

According to ‘Top 10 items of the exports increase’ reported by Korea Customs Service on June 17, among top 10 items on exports increase up to May, 6 items are related to IT products and 3 items are related to a motorcar.

For 5 months, LCD monitor has increased by KRW 836,000,000 to KRW 1,646,000,000 in exports over the last year and so it has increased significantly on a basis of an amount.

In terms of exports, GSM mobile phone was placed second with the export increase of USD 565,000,000 and petroleum transport was placed third increased by USD 439,000,000. Subsequently, items of the large exports increase are followed; △Computer parts (USD 341,000,000) △Sedan-typed medium vehicles (USD 333,000,000) △CDMA mobile phone (USD 296,000,000) △Jeep-typed medium vehicle (USD 239,000,000) △Wagon-typed vehicle (USD 177,000,000) △Mobile phone parts (USD 143,000,000) △DVR (USD 131,000,000).
