Magazine world evaluated aforesaid when Newsweek, which is known as eternal second among the U.S. magazine, is selected as the best U.S magazine this year, winning from `Top dog`, Time.

The reason why Newsweek was selected the best magazine winning from Time in the field of above 2 million publication, was because it succeeded to develop various news through expanding affiliation with the press and it expanded analysis articles after 9.11 attack, reported New York Times on 13th.

News week, member company of Washington post used to be evaluated as inferior in analyzing events to Time, however, after the U.S. war on terrorism, it is evaluated to have reported surpassing articles than Time such as achieving exclusive interview with John Walker Lind, American Taliban warrior, who was arrested by the U.S. troops.

Newsweek also achieved big success in affiliating themselves with NBC, MSNBC, etc last year in order not to be behind in competition with Time, which is provided fluent news by sister companies of AOL Times Warner like CNN, Sports Illustrated, etc.

Newsweek publishes 3,300,000 copies in a week and it falls behind Time which publishes 4,200,000 copies, in the scale of publication.

As regards net profit, Newsweek recorded 2,500,000 dollars last year and it is far behind Time, which surpassed 5,500,000 dollars.
