Executives of 100 enterprises in Korea reportedly take the leadership in economy most important for the virtue of next president.
According to a monthly magazine Modern Management on the 19th, when it collected opinions of executives of 100 domestic corporations, 32.9 percent of respondents answered that the next president should have leadership in `economy`.
21.4 percent of the respondents chose the leadership in `globalization` and the rest the leadership in `gouging out corruptions (15.7 percent)`, `social development (14.3 percent)`, `reunification of South and North (7.2 percent)`, `solving regional resentment (5.7 percent)` and `democratization (2.8 percent)`.
Respondents pointed `economic revival (32.3 percent)` for the assignment of next president, `introducing sustainable economic policy (34.8 percent)` for the assignment of economy team of next Cabinet.
And 57.1 percent of the respondents chose former U.S. President John F. Kennedy as a model from whom next president should learn, and Park Chung-Hee (19.0 percent) solely among Korean presidents.
At the question asking to choose economy team, which administrated Korean economy successfully including current administration, Park Chung-Hee administration (60.0 percent) got No. 1, and the current administration (15 percent) got No. 3 next to Chun Doo-Hwan administration (30.0 percent). The worst economy team chosen by 81.8 respondents was the administration of Kim Young-Sam.
