The Japanese `yen` remains in a bearish trend in the foreign exchange market.
The yen-to-dollar exchange rate marked 128.29 yen per dollar as of 4 o`clock yesterday in the Tokyo foreign exchange market. The New York market ended at 127.77 yen per dollar at night of 18th, but the Tokyo market has once witnessed the skyrocketing rise, up to 128.42 yen per dollar yesterday.
Since it has been said in the market that the U.S. government has tolerated the weaker yen and the Japanese government is likely to use the weaker yen as a last resort for recovering its slackened economy, the U.S. dollar is expected to remain in the strong trend for the time being.
In the foreign exchange market in Seoul, the won-to-dollar exchange rate ended at 1292.3 won per dollar, up by 0.4 won from the previous day. Accordingly, the won-to-yen rate marked 1,006 won per 100 yen, which was the lowest rate recently.
