Police announced that the `itinerary report on a key suspect Jeong Hak-Mo of the Lee Yong-Ho gate` which was revealed in a Grand National Party (GNP)`s Rep. Yoo Seung-Keun`s interpellation speech, was leaked by an Intelligence Division sergeant of Jeju Provincial Police named Lim (56) in response to the request of an official of the GNP Jeju Chapter named Kim (36).

On Sunday, Police immediately arrested Kim, who asked for the government document, for violating the Management of the Government Document Law, and summoned sergeant Lim to investigate the reason for leaking a government document.

Ryu Bong-An, the Commissioner General of Jeju Provincial Police, in yesterday`s news conference, announced, ``We, through internal inspection, disclosed the fact that sergeant Lim of Intelligence Division leaked the government document.``

Commissioner General Ryu said, ``The document is a police official report that was managed as a matter of arbitrary decision by the director of Intelligence Division and did not reported to the superior of the director. Police is now investigating the related and illegal matters in relation to the leaking of a government document.``

Police explained that sergeant Lim wrote the document and reported it to his superior, and he faxed the document to Kim on Oct. 9th.
