``No Thought of Resigning, Will Directly Confront the Issue``

Chief Public Prosecutor Shin Seung-Nam was reported to have commented on September 20 on the fact that he had received 66, 660, 000 won from his brother Lee Yong-Ho, President of G&G, saying, ``I am sorry to cause concern because of my brother`s situation, but I have no thought of resigning because of this.``

One high-level official in the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office said, ``The Chief will proceed with his duties without swerving.``

Chief Prosecutor Shin was reported as saying to Supreme Prosecutor Officials, ``I have no thought of resigning and will directly and straightforwardly deal with the situation.``

Mr. Shin called a meeting of all Supreme Prosecutors chief officials, explained the rights and wrongs of his brother`s situation, and ordered the investigation team to ``conduct a complete and thorough investigation into Lee Yong-Ho`s financial situation and questions about his patrons that will leave no question unanswered.``
