Carrying a substitute crew of the International Space Station (ISS), The space shuttle Discovery rockets skyward from the Kennedy Space Center August 10, 2001. Three astronauts of a new crew will substitute three astronauts in the ISS that circulated the orbit for 154 days. A new crew included Russian Cosmonaut Vladimir Dezhurov who had executed his duties for 115 days in the Mir Space Station. A new crew will carry out over 40 experiment missions of the U.S. and Russia until it returns in December.
