It was revealed that new employees of Coreana Cosmetics Co. this year got a job after having applied for 15 companies on average, which shows the difficulty in getting a job due to the stagnant economy.

The Coreana Cosmetics Co. announced Sunday that its new and experienced employees who graduated from a university had applied for an average 15 companies and had undergone four or five interviews, according to its survey of 51 of them.

About 16 percent of them were employed after they had attempted to get a job applying for more than 30 companies. Only 4 percent of them got through the difficult employment test after applying for one position.

In the regular public employment test of the Coreana, 6,303 candidates applied, which showed high competition rate of 123.1 to 1. Female university graduates showed higher competition rate at 183.4 to 1.
