"The Legend of Gingko" breaks Korean single-day box office record

With an all-star cast and a strong producer and distributor, "The Legend of Gingko" was able to attract more than 120,000 viewers on its opening day, breaking the single-day box office record. The figure was 30,000 higher than that for "JSA," which recorded 90,000 moviegoers in Seoul.

The movie opened on 60 screens in Seoul and 145 nationwide. In Seoul a record 162,000 and 343,000 nationwide watched the movie, posting a seat occupancy rate of higher than 70%.
