At the second round of the inter-Korean Red Cross talks, the two Koreas exchanged through the Red Cross liaison office at Panmunjeom on Sept. 30 a list of 100 separated family applicants from each side for the confirmation of the whereabouts of the persons sought.

"In order to quickly ascertain the whereabouts of persons sought on the list provided by the North, we will publicize the list Oct. 2 and utilize various related agencies and departments," a source at the South Korean Red Cross said Sunday.

According to the Red Cross, persons sought for this round by South Koreans include 62 men and 38 women, while the North Koreans have asked for the whereabouts of 85 men and 15 women. The Red Cross further explained that should those persons be found, the applicants would be able to meet their relatives as soon as the meeting venue is established.
