For the first time ever, the men's hockey team has reached the finals in the Olympics. At the men's semifinals on Thursday, Song Seung-Tae scored the precious winning goal 21 minutes into the second half to beat Pakistan 1-0, securing a silver medal. The men's hockey team has succeeded in reaching the finals 12 years after first participating in the event at the '88 Seoul Olympics. The Korean women's hockey team won silver at the '88 Seoul and '96 Atlanta Olympics, but the men's team has never previously won a medal.
