It has been discovered that Korea ranks fourth in the world in terms of the frequency of anti-dumping measures taken against its export products.

On August 8, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), quoting World Trade Organization (WTO) materials, stated that countries whose exports receive the most anti-dumping measures are, in order, China, the EU, Japan and Korea. The nations that enact the most anti-dumping measures on imports are the U.S., the EU, Mexico and Canada, in this order.

China was subject to a total of 69 cases of anti-dumping measures in the first seven months of this year from importing countries. This was followed by 46 for the EU, 43 for Japan, 40 for Korea, 34 for Taiwan and 26 for the U.S.

During this period, America has enacted a total of 145 anti-dumping measure cases, including decisions to launch anti-dumping investigations, preparatory judgments, and final judgments on imported products, thereby representing 56% of the world`s total 259 anti-dumping measures.
