Aekyung Industrial joins hands with JW Shinyak

Aekyung Industrial announced on Tuesday that it signed an MOU with JW Shinyak to launch a new brand of dermacosmetics.

Dermacosmetics, which refers to skin science, is a compound word of dermatology and cosmetics. JW Shinyak developed Cytoplasmic Transduction Peptide (CTP) technology independently and acquired a patent. Aekyung Industrial plans to apply this technology to display new cosmetics. CTP is a technology that allows the efficient delivery of drugs in cells through materials that permeates cell membranes. Aekyung Industrial and JW Shinyak explain that higher efficiency with less dosage is expected as the permeability of cells is five times higher than Protein Transduction Domain (PTD), which is the traditional protein delivery technology.

“We plan to launch a new cosmetics brand with JW Shinyak within this year,” said an official of Aekyung Industrial. “We will showcase a sincerer Dermacosmetics by cooperating with the pharmaceutical company.”
